The new pop-up feature for COVID-19 has been added to Web Manager (only). Legacy sites will have to be added the original way.
The Features:
- The client can edit through Web Manager.
- It can be used for other things as well.
- Pop-up has a 24-hour caching.
- Meaning it will only display once a day per IP address unless the client goes incognito or clears their cache. This was done so it won't keep popping up every time someone goes to the home page.
- It can only be seen on the live website.
- Make sure to test before closing your case.
Steps:
- Log in to the client's Web Manager site
- Click on Settings on the left
- Click on COVID-19
- Click on enable
- Pop-up Notice will display:
- Title/Caption/Call to Action
- Limit the character count (1-3 short sentences) so it displays properly on mobile.
- Call to Action
- Change CTA text
- Link to a page you created w/ content, external (pdf/CDC/etc), or relative link (extension of a page similar to a page you've created)
