Social Media 2.0 Package Set Up Instructions:

  1. In provision go to “Manage” then “Websites” enter the Domain name. Enter in the two Dear Doctor Codes I sent you guys in “Product ID” and hit save. Then go to the edit site.
  2. Then go to “services” drop down at the top tool bar then “Dear Doctor” search their domain under the Dear Doctor screen, if they already have an account setup make sure you check “Social Content Solution (biweekly)”. If they do not have an account, on the Dear Doctor Screen hit “Register New Account”
  3. Go to Website Management > Social Settings > and under the blog section do /blog.html
  4. If they don’t have a blog post, create a 1st blog post on the doctor’s website. (Website Management > Add Content > Officite Content> Blog Posts > Welcome Blogs> Dental).
  5. Choose either “Welcome Blog” or “Welcome to our Blog” remember to change the byline to the practice name.
  6. The Social Media toolbar at the bottom of the website color should be changed to match the website, look at the color scheme chart to match the colors even closely to the website. Go to “website management” “website settings” “appearance” “Social Footer Class” and change it in there (the letter always has to be lowercase).

Twitter:

  1. Go to www.twitter.com
  2. Click “Sign Up Now”
  3. Follow the instructions to set up the account.
  4. Use Doctor’s name as the FULL NAME. (You can abbreviate or use just “Dr. Last Name” if necessary)
  5. Use the doctor’s name, practice name, or a combination for the USERNAME. This space is limited, so you may have to be created.
  6. Use Off1cite! For the PASSWORD.
  7. Use [email protected] as the EMAIL. If they have a domain in transfer and no secondary domain go to the portal search for “Ballinger” create an email first initial last [email protected]
  8. Skip the suggested users questions to activate the account.
  9. Skip the suggest followers
  10. For first “tweet”:
    Dental: “Visit http://www.domain.com for more information on dental implants, veneers and teeth whitening”

Podiatry: “Visit http://www.domain.com for more information on bunions, heel pain and ingrown nails”

Chiro: “Visit http://www.domain.com for more information on physical therapy & adjustments”

Vet: “Visit http://www.domain.com for more information about grooming, pet care and emergency vet services”.

  1. Add the doctor’s website address by going to Settings>Account>and More Info URL.
  2. Add a one-line bio in this section as well. You can copy the first sentence from the welcome statement on the website.
  3. Add an image for the account. You can either use the doctor’s logo or an image from the Social Networking folder on the Officite Drive. Under Client Services (new social networking photos).
  4. Add the twitter link to both Salesforce AND their website by going to “website management” > social settings > and putting in the username.

Facebook:

  1. Go to https://business.facebook.com/settings/pages/
  2. Create a new account by hovering over “Add New” then do create page.
  3. Then choose “Local Business or Place” and fill in the relevant info. Use the practice name as the page name.
  4. It will now open up the created page within business manager, click the URL to the page and it will take you to the business page.
  5. It will ask you to enter in a description for the page, you can take a sentence from the Welcome Statement on their website that you feel sounds good. It has to be short. Then enter in their website address and answer yes to the two questions.
  6. Then choose a profile picture and save it
  7. Paste their welcome statement as a status update and then their website address under the welcome statement.
  8. Then enter in the phone number by going to the about section and hitting “edit” also add a long description which will be their entire welcome statement.
  9. Add the Facebook page to Salesforce under logins and to their website too.

SOCi:

  1. Go into Soci (if the client doesn’t have an account after searching hit “Add Project”) that will open up a form that you need to enter in all the relevant info under.
  2. Once the account is added hit the FB icon and connect it and then do the same with Twitter.
  3. Then click the RSS icon  and make it look like the following image

The domain name is specific to the clients domain, but make sure it ends in blog_rss.xml so http://mydomain.com/blog_rss.xml

  1. Then hit “Post Now” copy the link from the blog by clicking the blog on the website and paste that URL into “Message” make sure you change the messgae to reflect the blog title. And hit Post now.
  2. Finally go into the clients Salesforce account go to “Assets” “Hosting” (dental, pediatric, etc) and change the RSS feeder to SOCi.
